A Victory For Your Rights

According to  this Chicago Sun-Times sourcelink a group of Second Amendment supporters turned in non-working, rusty, useless firearms. In exchange for the guns, they got $1000 per item to use in whatever way they chose. They chose to use the money to support an NRA camp that teaches kids proper gun usage and safety.

Taking money from those who would curtail our rights and using it to help keep us free. Brilliant!

Retain Your Rights

     Most of us say we want Freedom. We want our Rights to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. What we forget is that with rights comes responsibility. If you give up the responsibility to choose your food carefully, you get FDA "protection" that hurts small farmers and infringes on the liberties of those who wish to eat what you might not. If you give your responsibility for feeding your children to the schools, you lose the Right and Freedom to feed your child what YOU want them to have, regardless of the nutritional benefits your food night have over theirs. When you take someone else's money to pay for your health care, you give up your right to choose your doctor, your procedures, and your medicines.

     Retain your Rights. Stop asking for the Government to take over your Responsibilities!

     If you wish to earn money and use it to benefit yourself and your family - and anyone else you care about, please do. But please don't make others, by force of government, work to benefit those things you care about. If you want to retain your right to earn and dispose of money as you wish, then stop giving over the responsibility of supporting causes and people you find worthy to the government. In doing this, you also stop infringing on my rights to do the same.

     Retain your Rights. Stop asking for the Government to take over your Responsibilities!
